To register for an orientation to take classes to prepare for the test, call: 330-847-0503 Ext. 1611
To be eligible for the GED® test you must be 16 years of age or older.
16 and 17 years olds must be formally withdrawn from high school and need to provide a copy of the official withdrawal form signed by a school official from the last school attended as well as obtain the necessary signatures on the parental consent form. The withdrawal form will come from the school where you last attended. Find the parental consent form here.
18 year olds must be officially withdrawn from high school and need to provide a copy of the official withdrawal form signed by a school official from the last school attended.
Classes are not mandatory to take the GED® test, although we feel strongly that attending classes to prepare for the GED® test could only benefit you.
To register, schedule, and pay for the test, go to www.GED.com. The test is offered at the Trumbull Career & Technical Center, but you must register, schedule, and pay online. No money is taken at the TCTC.
Currently, the state of Ohio is offering an $80 voucher for first-time test takers. Read the application process carefully for instructions to learn if you qualify.
